Doudi Wang was born in China and is currently based in Melbourne Australia. ​​She has been exploring photography since 2017 and she works with portraits and natural landscapes. She uses photography as a way of stating personal memories, perceptions, and stories through different image-making through Chinese cultural narratives. Doudi grew up in a small city surrounded by mountains in China, where complex and fixed relationships with people and the natural environment were central to her life. To this day, her work is inspired by this - a reflection on the complexities of the human condition and how man-kind and natural enviroment are entangled. She now uses digital platforms to share her practice, photographic aesthetics, and stories as a way of sharing her culture and reflections.
